Attention:  Division Environmental Managers/Coordinators

The purpose of this email is to remind State departments of
transportation and others who may be interested that the 2007 FHWA
Environmental Excellence Awards program is accepting entry forms through
August 15.  These awards were established by FHWA to recognize our
outstanding processes, projects and people who go beyond what is
required with traditional transportation projects and who promote
environmental stewardship along with partnerships to achieve
environmentally sound transportation solutions.  The application forms

Nominations are being accepted in the following areas:

Air Quality Improvement

Cultural and Historical Resources

Recycling and Reuse 

Roadside Resource Management and Maintenance

Wetlands, Watersheds and Water Quality
