Subject: MPO's Regional Pedestrian Plan ~ Public Meeting Invitation


Thank you for your continued interest and participation in the
Indianapolis Regional Pedestrian Plan planning process. 
 
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is concluding
a multi-year effort to develop the region's first-ever regional
pedestrian system plan. This plan will illustrate the opportunity for an
expansive pedestrian network providing pedestrian connections throughout
and among the Indianapolis region, including Marion, Johnson, Morgan,
Hendricks, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, and Shelby counties. As a regional
planning effort, discussion among jurisdictions throughout the region is
needed to ensure a comprehensive Pedestrian Plan and a comprehensively
developed pedestrian system.
 
We invite you to a Public Meeting to discuss regional pedestrian
connectivity on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at 6:00pm at the Indiana
Historical Society in downtown Indianapolis. Parking is free. Please
forward this information to other interested individuals.

>From the North
You may take I-65 South and exit at the Martin Luther King Jr.
Street/West Street exit (exit 114). Continue south on West Street for
about three-quarters of a mile. Turn left on New York Street. The
entrance to our parking lot will be on your right. View a map From the
South You may take I-65 North, and then change to I-70 West. Go west for
just under one mile, and exit at West Street (exit 79A). Turn right onto
West Street/Missouri Street and continue north for about a mile. You
will pass the Indiana Historical Society building on Ohio and West
Streets. Make a right at the next stop light, which is New York Street.
The entrance to our parking lot will be on your right. View a map

>From the East
You may take I-70 West and then change to I-65 North. Pass the first
exit, go to the far-left lane, and exit at the Martin Luther King Jr.
Street/West Street exit (exit 114). Continue south on West Street for
about three-quarters of a mile. Turn left onto New York Street. The

>From the West
You may take I-70 to the West Street exit (exit 79A). Make the first
possible left (north) onto West Street/Missouri Street and go about a
mile. You will pass the Indiana Historical Society building on Ohio and
West Streets. Make a right at the next stop light, which is New York
