Following up on an earlier message sent by Richard Vonnegut. If you are
considering any trail or park project that will reuse a possible
brownfields site including former railroad corridors and railyards, you
should try to join this conference call on Friday.

Subject: [bfbulletin] Conference Call for Public Comment on the
IndianaBrownfields Program's U.S. EPA Brownfields Grant Proposals

The Indiana Brownfields Program (Program) staff would like to invite any
interested parties to participate in a conference call availability
session to discuss the Program's U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
(U.S. EPA) brownfields grant proposals (Assessment and Revolving Loan
Fund). Program staff will be available to answer your questions or
receive your comments about the Program's grant proposals. Just call in
on Friday, December 1, 2006, anytime from 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM or from
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. The toll free number is 1-800-944-8766, conference
code 93621#.

If the Revolving Loan Fund grant is awarded, the Indiana Finance
Authority will partner with a coalition of regional planning and
development commissions and the City of Indianapolis to provide zero
interest loans and subgrants to carry out cleanup activities at eligible
brownfield sites in Indiana. If the Assessment grant is awarded, the
Indiana Department of Environmental Management will establish the
Indiana Brownfields Trails and Parks Initiative to offer free Phase I
and II environmental site assessments for eligible political
subdivisions and non-profit entities for the purpose of developing
trails and parks on brownfields throughout Indiana, with a special focus
on rails-to-trails projects. Electronic copies of both grant proposals
can be found at www.brownfields.in.gov <http://www.brownfields.in.gov/>
.

Your input is very important for the success of these grants! Please
contact Susan Tynes Harrington of the Indiana Brownfields Program with
any questions or comments about the conference call or the Program's
grant proposals (see contact information below). Even if you can't
call in during the conference call, comments can be made anytime via
email, phone, fax, or mail.
