Calling for volunteers in the Westfield (Hamilton County) area:  a haunting
event to benefit the Midland  <http://www.midlandtrace.org/> Trace, an
east-west rail-trail project between the Monon, Westfield and Noblesville.
Dates are Oct.24-26.  Advocates are raising funds for brochures and signs.
Please see the attached information.  The Midland is a project still firmly
rooted in the grassroots camp, and is seeking substantial participation from
the town and city governments after several years of minimal progress.

Hello,

I would like to make a LAST CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS to help raise $$'s for the
Midland Trace Trail by helping at the Cool Creek Haunted Trail. The event is
next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights at Cool Creek Park. Pam Williams
has put together the scenes for the trail with a graveyard theme. We need
more people to help with haunting. This would require you dressing scary
(living dead, zombies, etc.); showing up by 5:30PM and helping scare people
until the trail closes for the evening. The trail hours are 6-9 but everyone
is not through the trail until 9:30 or later. We need people for all three
nights but especially on Thursday night as Pam will not be able to attend
that night. If you do not want to be a haunter then other opportunities to
volunteer are available; trail guides or hayride monitors. I have attached
information from the Park Department to help explain. Also all volunteers
must fill out the volunteer form listing the Midland Trace Trail as your
organization and sign a waiver. At this point if you are willing to help
please contact Pam at Williams.pam at insightbb.com. 

 

PLEASE NOTE WE WILL MAKE $$'S BY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO SHOW UP TO
VOLUNTEER FOR THE MIDLAND TRACE. THE MORE THE MERRIER. 

All money we raise will go towards Midland signs and brochures. 

 

Also, please note that the next Friends of the Midland meeting will be on
Thursday, November 9th at 5PM at the Washington Twp. Park Office. I hope to
see you then.
