Hello fellow trail enthusiasts!

This weekend there is an event from our friends on the “dirt” trails. The
Hoosier Mountain Bike Association (HYPERLINK
"http://www.hmba.org/"www.hmba.org) is proud to hold the Third Annual Brown
County Breakdown epic mountain bike ride on Sunday, September 30. If the
ever-popular and wonderful Hilly Hundred is the homecoming event for road
cyclists, then the Brown County Breakdown has quickly become the homecoming
for off-road cyclists. This is the HMBA’s largest event and fundraiser, and
it is the largest organized mountain bike ride in the state. The funds
raised from this event help the club plan, build, and maintain a large
majority of the mountain bike trails in Indiana. In the short-term, the
funds will be used as our matching portion for the execution of a
Recreational Trails Program grant currently taking place at Brown County
State Park.

The weather forecast for this weekend is terrific, and the trail conditions
will be fantastic after this week’s much needed rainfall. We already have
220 pre-registered riders, and we expect to come close to our rider cap of
350. The ride features routes of 35, 50, 62, and a truly epic 100 mile
course! It uses portions of Brown County State Park and the Hoosier
National Forest including Nebo Ridge and Hickory Ridge. There is a hidden
cabin sag stop with live bluegrass and a huge catered hog roast at the end
of the ride with more live music.

Please go to HYPERLINK "http://www.hmba.org/"www.hmba.org for the details on
the event. We look forward to seeing you there. Please forward this to
anyone that you think might be interested.

Cheers,
