<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>We have now been collecting signatures on our
petition for the past four days. And the reception has been very
good. There are now so many Hoosiers who have come to realize that
trails and greenways can and will make a positive contribution to the overall
quality of life in Indiana that this has been a very well received
campaign.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>I gathered signatures this past Saturday morning at
the White River Cleanup in Indianapolis. The comments I got from those
participating were great. Participants said things like, "This is something I
have been waiting for. It will be great to finally have a license plate that
celebrates both outdoor recreation and green space." One of our board members
from southeast Indiana just sent me a message that said, "I am not very good at
something like this. But getting these signatures has been one of the most
pleasant projects with which I have been involved. People are really pleased
with the possibility of having a Trails plate on their car next
year."</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2>We still need your help, however, to make
sure we get all 500 needed signatures by the close of business on April 24th. So
please consider printing off a copy of the petition and getting it signed
by your walking and riding partners, your friends and your neighbors. You can
really help by taking a few minutes at your office or standing alongside your
local trail to get just twenty signatures. You can't just post it in your
office. You do have to ask. But the response to your ask will be very
pleasant.</FONT></DIV>

year that lets me say to people, "I support trails ... and hiking, and biking,
and horseback riding, and canoeing ... and all the other things that Hoosiers
